Bernard was pleasant and easy to talk to about my project. His crew was very professional and did an amazing job. I had French doors add to my home and they look terrific. They were on time and stayed late and got the job done in 2 days instead of 3. They were very clean, except for the dust (which can't be helped) you wouldn't know they were even there. Bernard Wienckowski and his team of multiple contractors were able to restore our parent's bedroom back to its original condition after experiencing water damage from an upstairs bathroom. They were accommodating with our limited schedule, and not only replaced the damaged sheet rock, replaced wood Moulding, painted the room, closet, cleaned and restored our wood floors, replaced two electrical outlets, but also helped dig my car out of our driveway, after the recent snowstorm. I had new aluminum trim and a gutter installed on the front of my home. The workers were very efficient and neat. They arrived on time, were perfect gentlemen and cleaned up at the end of the day. Repair Interior Trim and Decorative Moldings:
We hired Bernard and his crew for multiple home renovations in our new home. They installed a banister, did crown and base molding throughout our home, added railings to two of our porches, removed a giant ceiling vent, installed and trimmed 6 doors, and installed a new front door for us. They completed all of this work in about four days. They were on time, trustworthy, and reliable. There was one day that they cancelled last minute, but they were very flexible in adding more projects and additional work to the never-ending list. I also felt that Bernard was understanding about keeping to a budget, and was able to suggest repairs instead of replacements on a few projects. I really appreciated this. When buying a new home, the costs add up! After meeting his crew, I felt comfortable leaving them to work in my house while I went to work. They were very knowledgable as well.

We hired Bernard and his crew to renovate the lower level of our high ranch. It was a lot of work that required walls coming down, new floors, new recessed lighting, built in shelves, new closet, new staircase, replacing our front door, new shutters.... I must say that we are thrilled with the work they did! Bernard and his crew were punctual, professional, knowledgeable and hardworking, all the things you'd want in a contractor. At the end of each work day, the crew cleaned up and addressed any questions I had regarding the progress that took place. Bernard's responsiveness and attention to detail are top notch. If you're looking for an excellent contractor, look no further! We had an excellent experience with Tool Time and would highly recommend them.

Our bathroom remodeling took place a few weeks ago ...and everything was done just in time for the holidays! I'm sorry that I didn't write this review sooner ....I have been so excited to write this! Bernard is top of the line AWESOME! He possesses customer service skills that are out of this world. His knowledge of anything and everything re: home improvements is vast. Bernard stopped by the house several times just to check in with us. How good is that?!?! Now ...the two guys that did the work .... Marvin and Hugo - WOW WOW WOW! These two individuals - professional, polite, warm and friendly ....they became part of our family for 6 days. The work that was done is impeccable. Clean up occurred every day as they were leaving. Marvin is an artist ...the tile work in our bathroom ....people are in AWE when they see this room. We still are amazed when we walk into that room! Marvin's sense of style and placement for items and his vision was far better than what we would have thought ourselves. He helped us make decisions based on his experience and his gift .....a true artist! Hugo ....the tile cutter, helper and painter! I cannot believe what he did to our walls .....that they were the same walls as before! WOW WOW WOW ....they look brand new ...not a seam, bubble or bump anywhere. I can't say enough good about Bernard and his team. We are looking forward to having more work done around the house. What a pleasure it was having these guys ....and what a terrific job they have done! We hired Bernard/Tool-Time Construction with a very narrow timeline, as we were not in the home and school was about to be begin in 2 months, so all the heavy construction needed to be completed before move in. The job was a garage conversion (Kitchenette/Laundry/Storage room), a new Master Bedroom Expanded Ensuite constructed from Studs, new ceramic flooring for the entire entire lower level of the home, and other projects like kitchen backsplash for two kitchens and electrical recessed lighting throughout the house. Bernard and his team are very thorough communicators and always on time. Because this job had a highly pressured timeline, his team showed up every day (7 Days a week) for 3-4 months until the job was completed. We ran into some issues with glass tiles, and they returned twice to remedy the problem after construction was finished. I am very familiar with construction having served as GC on numerous scaled home renovations and would highly recommend Bernard and his crew. They are one of the best contractors crews I have had the pleasure of working with. We are very pleased with their work and follow through, especially Lambert, who does it all, a real solutions driven contractor and once of the best all around renovation mechanics I ever worked with! But be prepared to do your part as the homeowner, if you are doing extensive construction work, any delays on materials will delay the job. Especially with post pandemic material manufacturing delays alongside export/import shipping challenges. Try and have everything selected and ordered in advance as best you can, because once Bernard and his team get started, they will work efficiently and at the speed of light. I had a challenging time keeping up with them, but the fluid communication helped me defend my end of the construction equation and relationship. And when I ran into material delays, his construction crew did their best to work around them and continued with other aspects of the renovation to complete the job on time, which I am happy to report they did achieve.

We recently hired Bernard to remodel our den. We have hired many different contractors over the years and this was the best experience we have had. Pricing was reasonable, the workers showed up on time (or early) and were always polite and mindful. The job was finished ahead of schedule - a first for us! In addition to the work we initially intended to do, Bernard pointed out a structural repair that we had not noticed was needed, and even that work was performed quickly and at a reasonable price. The transformation of our den was dramatic enough that it has generated unsolicited praise from friends and family who have visited since. We would definitely recommend Bernard and crew for any work required.

I am extremely happy with the service and quality of work from Bernard and his team at Tool Time Home Improvements. In December 2016, we found that the previous homeowners had hidden extensive termite damage along the back of our home. I had numerous contractors evaluate the damage. Most were not able to provide an estimate and did not instill confidence about how they could fix it. Bernard was completely different. He immediately began identifying the actions that would be required in order to restore structural integrity. He was able to provide a written estimate before leaving. The amount of work was extensive. The house was jacked in sections from the basement in order to replace the entire back wall sill plate. New beams were added and sistered to existing beams. In order to do this, my paver patio was removed along the back wall. Inside the house, the tile floor was removed and areas of the subfloor were replaced. The wall and windows of my kitchen dining area were completely reframed. Electrical and plumbing work was required during the repair. Two bathrooms had to be partially dismantled and restored. New sliders and a new back door were installed. A new engineered vinyl plank floor was installed in place of the old tile floor. Intricate molding was replaced. New baseboard covers were added. All of the sheetrock cracks from the termite damage and jacking were repaired. Throughout the process, Bernard and his crew were professional and courteous. They addressed any of the concerns that I raised. They showed pride in the quality of their work. Bernard had initially believed the job would take 3 weeks. Despite finding additional damage that was not known until the project progressed, the team still finished on schedule. Bernard even had a cleaning crew come in on the final day to clean all of the dust that was generated from removing the tile floor. I would highly recommend Tool Time Home Improvements and plan to use them again myself for future projects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 02/09/2018 This was the second time I used Tool Time Home Improvements, and the experience was outstanding both times. Bernard immediately returned my call, evaluated the project the same day, and had a great crew on site the following week ahead of the initial schedule. The quality of work was exceptional. Recently used Tool Time to update and expand our half bathroom into a full bathroom. Bernard (the owner) and his team were extremely professional, prompt and very considerate to our needs (especially having two young children running around.) The quality of their work was top notch. They had to pretty much demo the existing bathroom, break tiles, frame an extension for a shower, seal an existing door, redo the pipes, install the shower/sink/toilet, full tile work and paint. They finished the job in about 8 days starting around 7:30am and working usually past 6pm. Price was very competitive and Bernard was very flexible on payment. All in all, was such a great experience going to start our next project (driveway and portico) with them within the next couple weeks!

His team skim coated, painted walls and ceilings, stained and reinstalled moldings in three rooms and they look beautiful. Very professional staff. Bernard and his crew made our dream basement come true! His financing option was the best my husband and I ever heard. Instead of waiting until next year we were able to start our project immediately. Our 19 year old is in his second year of college and was in one of our small bedrooms upstairs. We have wanted to do our basement from the minute we bought our house but knew we had to wait for cost reasons. Since our son is averaging a 4.0 in college we wanted to make more space for him right away. After meeting with a few different contractors, we went with Bernard mainly because of the finance option and because his visions were what we wanted and he was extremely positive. He wanted to make this a memorable, exciting experience. He followed through with all our requests and was quick to solve any obstacles we encountered. Our basement was a dungeon, we needed plumbing, walls, floors, ceilings, electric the works. His crew is by far the best, they were at our home by 7am every single morning ready for a briefing and ready to work. The crew worked every single day till the very end. They were extremely clean, always taped up all the surroundings and left the job tidy at the end of every shift. We installed an egress window which meant digging 4 feet in the ground. Bernard offered cleaning ladies to come in which they did and for my husband and I who are super clean, we can actually say they did a fantastic job; they even came back again when the project was over to give the house a final cleaning. We highly recommend Bernard and his crew and look forward to working with them in the future.

Bernard and his crew are amazing. We were in desperate need of a contractor to make my parents' house handicap accessible before my mother could return home from the hospital. He worked non stop for 2 weeks and even finished a day early. The work included roofing, drywall repair, bathroom remodel, floor tiling, kitchen cabinet replacement, and painting. We love the results and will continue to use him as projects come up. We are very grateful to Bernard and highly recommend him.

This job entailed renovating a dungeon of a basement and replacing a termite damaged support beam. Bernard was very easy to work with and his crew are among the best I've ever dealt with. These guys were awesome. Just moved into a house that needed some minor repairs and TLC. For the stuff I didn't want to do or couldn't do, I hired these guys. Bernard sat w/ me and went over the items on my inspection report in detail. We scheduled a date and a whole group of guys came in to get everything done in one day. They installed a bathroom exhaust fan, new newel post for my upstairs banister, reinforced some beams in the ceiling of my garage because they weren't cut at exactly the right angle and had some gaps where they met the ridge, re-did the weatherproofing on my chimney, checked the roof for nail pops, AND put in two gorgeous round columns in my entry way. These guys worked fast, hard, and cleaned up after themselves extremely well. Again, this was all in one day! Absolutely amazing experience. Will be in touch w/ them for the next project.

This job involved closing up a hole from the top of the toilet to the ceiling which had been opened to repair a leaking pipe in the wall. I decided to have the whole bathroom painted and a new medicine cabinet and light assembly installed to replace the one installed in the wall when the house was built. At first I believed the cost of the job to be high but after seeing the amount of work required and the quality of the work done, I feel that the price was more than fair. The walls (yellow) and ceiling (white) were painted beautifully after being Spackled so finely as to leave all surfaces completely smooth. A junction box was added to bring the light wiring up to code and the cabinet perfectly installed. All debris was removed and the whole bathroom cleaned before they left after just 2 days. The business owner verified that I was completely satisfied before any payment was made.

The team that repaired my stoop arrived when they said they would be there, 8AM on a Sunday! The work was done exactly as promised and I am very pleased with quality. The two man crew was great, courteous and hardworking. The property was cleaned and hosed down that I could do even tell they were there! Very pleased and would recommend Tool Time.

Complketed on time and within budget. Was here first thing in the morning as promised and showed up the next day as soon as they heard the weather forecast called for clearing mid day. The cleanup needed a dryvac to cleanup the leftover dust and brick chips that a broom could not get to. Plus it could have used a qyick hosing down for remove loose dust which I did myself the next day. Over all I was happy with the finished product and the trademan were a few good nice guys along with Bernie from Tool Time

Waterproof a Basement or Foundation
Bernie was absolutely wonderful to work with. He is extremely tenacious about getting the job done and extremely meticulous with details. His pricing is extremely fair considering the amount of attention you get. As far as communication goes, he will always return a phone call and he makes sure that you are aware of every detail of the job. He's the type of person who wants to make you happy and he will put in all the man-hours necessary to get it done. His crew did a wide array of work for us, specifically for waterproofing a basement. He fixed the existing dry well which took a lot of work to break up the existing concrete and to upgrade the drain to handle even the worst rain. The sump pump was improved with rerouted PVC that ran the water outside of the house. The work is extremely clean and it looks very professional. Clearly no shortcuts were taken. Finally he did some painting for the drywall that we had just put up. Instead of just painting the section of exposed sheet rock he painted the entire room which really made the area pop. After he was done, there was not a single drop of paint on the ground. He just did such a clean job and I could not be happier. We will no longer use their services. Last experience did not go well. Keeping the review 5 stars because they did well the first few jobs but their last job was done poorly.

I had them seal my floors with concrete and replace some sheetrock, all for a very good price. They were also done before the time they alloted for the job and did some extra add ons. I had a skylight leak that ran over my front door where it ruined the sheetrock in the ceiling and the wall over my front door, warped the molding and my front door exterior and screen door. They were able to rip out a large concrete back porch and build new stairs in a matter of hours.
